SARASOTA, Fla. -- January 9, 2014 -- 9 a.m.
Detectives with the Sarasota Police Department need help finding a man who was caught on camera stealing a bicycle.
It happened between 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. in the 2500 block Davis Boulevard, Sarasota, on Christmas Eve while the owner was next door. The owner of the bicycle works on other bicycles and left the east gate door open.
On the video attached, you can see a white male who is believed to be a juvenile, wearing light colored clothing and shorts. He enters from the north side of the house, enters into the gated area, spends a few minutes looking around inside the gated area and then leaves with a Trek Bicycle. The white male headed south and then West on Davis Blvd.
There is no serial number on the bicycle but the bicycle has 700c tires on it, a water bottle holder and bottle, after market hand grips, black in color and called 'Oury.'
