Detectives with the Sarasota Police Department are attempting to identify two men who were caught on camera stealing a purse from behind a counter at Walgreens at 3901 S. Tamiami Trail in Sarasota.
At approximately 5:30 p.m. on August 10, 2014, the two subjects entered the store. Subject two walked around the counter, looked at the cash register and walked away from the counter. He returned a short time later and took the victim’s purse from behind the counter and left the store. The two suspects were seen arriving and leaving the store in a gold four-door vehicle.
Subject 1: Black male, approximately 40 years old, heavyset, goatee and last seen wearing a tan and grey shirt.
Subject 2: Black male, 20’s, last seen wearing a black t-shirt and a white, red and black hat
